Southern Plains Productions is proud to present Wakka Wakka’s Dead as a Dodo, October 23-25, 2025, at Oklahoma Contemporary Arts Center in Oklahoma City.
Deep within the underworld, two friends, a boy and a dodo, are digging for fresh bones to replace their ancient, skeletal forms which are quickly deteriorating. One day, something miraculous happens. The dodo sprouts new feathers. Soon, a steady transformation begins to unravel the natural order. The great reversal has begun.But what will happen to the two friends?
Dead as a Dodo is a family-friendly, puppet musical odyssey utilizing humor and magical visual effects to explore some of humanity’s most basic fears and our quest for immortality.
Don't miss this show, hailed by The New York Times as “ceaselessly inventive.” It’s like a Pixar film brought to life on stage.

Featuring music by Butter and the Genre, a five-piece jazz ensemble known for soulful vocals and energetic arrangements, this event includes a cocktail bar, curated photo booth, and vintage jazz atmosphere. Dress in 1920s or noir-inspired attire and become part of the environment. Tickets include entry to the performance and full access to the exhibition’s theatrical setting.

The Bricktown Association is excited to host the 11th annual Brick-or-Treat event for kids in costume on Sunday, October 26th from 1pm to 4pm at various locations throughout the district.
Parents and guardians are invited to bring their kiddos to Bricktown to enjoy a family-friendly afternoon that includes spooky tunes, roaming characters, photo ops, and trick-or-treating at participating businesses. Attendees can pick up an event map from the information booth on the Mickey Mantle Plaza of the Chickasaw Bricktown Ballpark to plot their route.The event is free and open to everyone. Trick-or-treaters must be under the age of 14 and be in costume, or with a guardian, to receive free candy and giveaways.
