Planned Giving
When you include KOSU in your will, estate plan, or charitable giving strategy, you make a strong and lasting statement about what public broadcasting means to you. Your legacy gift helps ensure KOSU continues to provide trusted journalism, music discovery, and community storytelling for generations to come — across Oklahoma and beyond.
Many supporters choose to make a charitable bequest through their will or trust. A bequest directs a future gift to KOSU and lets you make a meaningful impact without affecting your finances during your lifetime. Others give through a Donor-Advised Fund (DAF) by recommending a grant today or naming KOSU as a successor beneficiary of their fund. DAF gifts offer flexibility now and can also serve as part of your long-term estate plan.
The KOSU Legacy Society honors donors who make a planned or future gift through options such as including KOSU in their will, donating a portion of their estate, naming KOSU as a beneficiary of a retirement account or life insurance policy, recommending legacy gifts through a Donor-Advised Fund, or establishing a charitable remainder or lead trust. Legacy Society members help secure KOSU’s future and receive invitations to special events throughout the year, as well as recognition in our annual report.
Planning a gift is simple. Your financial advisor can help you include appropriate language in your will or trust, or assist with beneficiary designations — whether through an estate plan, retirement account, life insurance policy, or Donor-Advised Fund.
