OSU, Stillwater to Hold Memorial Service For Crash Victims

Oklahoma State University and the City of Stillwater will host a memorial service honoring victims, survivors and first responders of Saturday's homecoming parade crash that killed four people and injured dozens more.

The school and city announced the service would be Nov. 3 at 6 p.m. in Gallagher-Iba Arena on the Stillwater campus.

“Following tragedy it is important to bring people together to not only honor the victims and survivors, but unite as a community to show our support and thank the many people who responded to this horrific event,” said OSU President Burns Hargis.

Killed were 2-year-old Nash Lucas; Nikita Nakal, a 23-year-old MBA student from India at the University of Central Oklahoma; and a married couple, Bonnie Jean Stone and Marvin Lyle Stone, both 65, of Stillwater.

Lt. Governor Todd Lamb, an OSU graduate, will join school president Burns Hargis and Stillwater Mayor Gina Noble at the service.

The service will be live streamed on OState.TV. For more information on the service and additional information about ways to donate to various funds supporting the victims and survivors go to: go.okstate.edu/parade-memorial.

Prosecutors allege 25-year-old Adacia Chambers "purposely" drove around a barricade before crashing into spectators and plan to charge her with four counts of second-degree murder.
