Oklahoma's Unemployment Numbers Skyrocket

Unemployment numbers are skyrocketing in Oklahoma. Officials say the state could surpass 10,000 claims by the end of this week, marking the most since January, 1991.

Many businesses in Oklahoma are closing their doors to consumers to slow the spread of COVID-19, in turn forcing rounds of layoffs.

On Tuesday, the state took in nearly 2,000 initial unemployment claims, then jumped to more than 3,000 on Wednesday.
