For the second day in a row, no new deaths due to COVID-19 were reported on Monday. The state's death toll stays flat at 334.
Health officials confirmed that total positive cases of the coronavirus in the state now stand at 6,573, an increase of 67 cases from Sunday. That's a one percent increase in total reported cases.
*Note: weekend reporting of cases and deaths is typically very low compared to weekdays.
Health officials say that due to the expiration of the state's Catastrophic Health Emergency Powers Act, they will no longer be able to publish COVID-19 data by city, zip code, or by long-term care and nursing home facility. They will continue reporting active and recovered COVID-19 cases by county only.
Health officials and Governor Kevin Stitt's office say they are actively exploring legal solutions to provide health data while safeguarding Oklahomans' health information.
