Oklahoma health officials report new cases of COVID-19 increased by 434 on Monday. That's nearly a three percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 16,362.
One new death was reported, bringing the state's death toll to 399. The state also released details of the three deaths reported on Friday. They are as follows:
- One in McCurtain County, a female in the 65 and older age group.
- One in Noble County, a female in the 65 and older age group.
- Two in Tulsa County, two males in the 65 and older age group.
*Note: weekend reporting of cases and deaths is typically very low compared to weekdays.
Oklahoma has totaled 3,190 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 456 per day.
12,432 people — more than 75 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.
There are 3,531 active cases in the state. Oklahoma County has the most active cases with 972, followed by Tulsa County with 918, Cleveland County with 240, McCurtain County with 164, Payne County with 106 and Canadian County has 100.
