Hospitalizations Spike Again, As Oklahoma Sees Another Record-Breaking Increase Of COVID-19 Cases

For the second day in a row, Oklahoma health officials reported the largest single-day increase of cases of COVID-19 on Friday with 1,533. That is excluding the July 21st report, which included a backlog of cases. The state has seen a total of 98,621 positive cases since March.
There were also four new deaths reported, bringing the state's total to 1,095. Further details were not released.

For the second day in a row and third time in the past week, a record number of Oklahomans were hospitalized in Oklahoma. 758 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.

Oklahoma has reported 7,746 new cases and 44 deaths due to the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 1,107 cases and six deaths per day.
