Eight more Oklahomans have died due to COVID-19, increasing the state's death toll to 88. The deaths reported Friday include:
- Two in Oklahoma County, a female in the 50-64 age group and a male over the age of 65.
- Two in Osage County, both males older than 65.
- One in Creek County, a male older than 65.
- One in Garfield County, a female older than 65.
- One in Pawnee County, a male older than 65.
- One in Pottawatomie County, a female older than 65.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed Friday that positive cases of the coronavirus in the state now stand at 1,794, an increase of 110 cases from Thursday. That's a 6.5 percent increase in total cases.
62 of Oklahoma's 77 counties are reporting positive cases of COVID-19. Oklahoma County has the most number of cases with 413. Tulsa County has 314, Cleveland County has 236, Wagoner County has 65, Washington County has 57, Creek County has 53, Canadian County has 52 and Comanche County has 47.
The Oklahoma State Department of Health is now reporting race and ethnicity data on COVID-19 positive cases and deaths. Officials say that data will be updated daily here.
