The 9th Annual Faces of ReMerge Luncheon is a fundraising program for ReMerge of Oklahoma County. ReMerge is a pre-trial diversion program available for Oklahoma County mothers with non-violent felonies as an alternative to jail sentences.
Take Five is the perfect opportunity to unwind, connect with fellow creatives, and get inspired. Five local creatives with a range of backgrounds will each give a 10-minute talk to inspire our community, with time for Q&A at the end. Join us as we celebrate 5 leaders in our community, their unique talents and their passion for all things creative.
Sci-Fi Film Club returns this fall with a new film series. This time, Sci-Fi film enthusiasts are invited to watch films over first encounters with aliens from beyond the Earth. Join Stillwater Public Library on the third Thursdays of every month from October to January at 6 p.m. for a movie and discussion following the show. Snacks will be provided by the SPL Friends of the Library and attendees are invited to bring their own treats for the group to enjoy.

One of the largest barbecue competitions in Oklahoma, the Bixby BBQ 'n Blues Festival features two days of mouthwatering barbecue and great music. Head to Washington Irving Park to witness over 80 barbecue teams from Oklahoma, Arkansas, Kansas, Missouri and Texas compete for the top prize and enjoy live blues music by local bands.
Visitors to this annual festival will enjoy free cooking demos, delicious barbecue entries and a wide variety of fair food. Make sure to take part in the People's Choice barbecue competition on Saturday, when barbecue entries are judged by festival-goers who purchase a People's Choice Award taster kit.
Bring your kids to the festival's popular Kids Zone, where they can enjoy numerous inflatable jumpers for a small fee per child. Young ones can also stretch their skills during the Kid's-Q, where children ages 6 to 15 will compete to win best barbecue.
Come for the barbecue and stay for the great live blues music. Nashville's John Nemeth takes the festival stage on Friday, while The Dylan Whitney Band closes out the event on Saturday night.
Make your way to downtown Stillwater to see original works of art, hear live music and enjoy a car and bike show during this month's art walk. Downtown retailers will offer refreshments to sample while commemorative wine glasses will be available for purchase. Don't miss this entertaining and creative family-friendly event in Stillwater.
Celebrate Asian American/ Pacific Islander Heritage Month at the AAPI Night Market in the Tulsa Global District. The free evening market will offer a diverse selection of food, several vendors, live entertainment and family activities.
Stop by the library on Friday, May 17 from 5:30-8 PM for “Teen Video Game Night”! SPL is bringing back this video game program for teens in Payne County to enjoy the end of the school year with friends and a whole bunch of games. SPL librarians will set up several Nintendo Switch party games for teens to play together, including Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, Super Mario Party, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, and Jackbox Party Games. Pizza and drinks will be available for all teens and teens are encouraged to bring their own mobile devices and games to play with one another.

OKC Parks invites everyone to the 34th annual “Garden Festival in the Park” at Will Rogers Gardens, 3400 NW 36th St., from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 18.
Garden lovers can purchase annuals, perennials and bedding plants, along with garden-related items from over 50 vendors selling everything from begonias to handmade garden art. Festival goers can also interact with fluffy alpacas and adorable therapy goats.
Free children’s activities will be offered by the Oklahoma Council of Garden Clubs.
