Aliens, skin walkers, humanoids, and other mythological creatures...maybe you've seen em? With spooky season upon us, we invite y'all to gather around and share stories about your creature encounters. Join us at Rodeo Cinema in Stockyards City for an evening of stories about all creatures, great and small, creepy and cuddly. This OKC StorySLAM will be followed by a special featured movie; admission required, and the ticket includes the double-feature of the SLAM and a movie!
The OKC StorySLAM is an open-mic storytelling event. Participants are invited to tell a story in seven minutes or less, relating to the theme for each event. Stories must be true (or as best remembered by the storyteller) and told without the use of notes. All participating storytellers can sign up to tell their story at the beginning of the evening. Prizes will be awarded to the best stories. This OKC StorySLAM is part of our 2025 tour of slams around OKC, celebrating 20 years of the OKC StorySLAM!

Colombian American conductor known for her powerful interpretations and dedication to highlighting Latin-American composers, Lina González-Granados leads Tulsa Symphony Orchestra's milestone Season XX's opening concert. The performance begins with the bright, sparkling melodies of Shostakovich’s Festive Overture and has a very celebratory feel, making it perfect for opening night, followed by Beethoven’ s Piano Concerto No. 3, a dramatic and expressive work perfectly suited for the talents of Grammy-award winning pianist, Emanuel Ax. The season opener ends with Dvořák’s most famous and vibrant work, Symphony No. 9 in E minor.

Red Earth Vegans proudly presents the second annual REVFEST, an exploration into the world of vegan cuisine with a sprinkle of live music on top. This is a free, family friendly festival featuring vegan food trucks and vendors from across the country and an extensive lineup of local bands and performers.

The festival is organized by Red Plains Peace Society, a nonprofit 501(c)(3).
