Sayfullo Saipov, a 29-year-old immigrant from Uzbekistan, is accused of killing eight people and injuring a dozen others on a Manhattan pedestrian and bike path last month.
-
The weekly edition of the extremist group's Al-Naba newspaper says that the driver in Tuesday's attack is "one of the caliphate's soldiers."
-
The president also said he'd consider sending suspect Sayfullo Saipov to the Guantanamo Bay detention center, though he seemed to backtrack from this position in tweets Thursday.
-
Prosecutors say Sayfullo Saipov left a note declaring he drove onto a bike path in Manhattan in the name of ISIS. Eight people were killed. Saipov was shot by a police officer and is recovering.

"The vehicle struck multiple people on the path," police said Tuesday. Authorities say the suspect was shot and taken into custody after leaving the vehicle and "displaying imitation firearms."
