The recall includes the Honda Civic, Accord, CR-V, Fit, HR-V, Insight, Odyssey, Pilot, Passport, Ridgeline, as well as Acura MDX, RDX and TLX, from model years between 2020 and 2022.

Honda Motor's American arm is recalling more than 2.5 million vehicles in the U.S. due to a fuel pump defect that can increase risks of engine failure or stalling while driving.

Some 2023-2024 Accord and HR-V models may be missing a part of the seat belt pretensioners, increasing the risk of injury during a crash, say federal regulators.

The automaker said a manufacturing defect has the potential to cause affected cars to improperly run, stall or stop while driving.

The defective air bag inflators are supplied by Takata, an auto parts maker that is already part of the largest automotive recall in U.S. history.
