Paul Levy has worked in the oil field equipment industry for more than 30 years. He lives in Seminole County, Oklahoma with his wife Cai. They both have parents in their 80s.

Like many other Oklahomans during the COVID-19 pandemic, Paul has been navigating a new normal while following self-quarantine and social distancing protocols. He recorded an audio diary for KOSU that aired on April 7, 2020.

KOSU's Kateleigh Mills produced this story as part of the America Amplifiedinitiative using community engagement to inform and strengthen local, regional and national journalism. America Amplified is a public media initiative funded by the Corporation for Public Broadcasting. KOSU Radio is part of the America Amplified network.

Kateleigh Mills has been reaching out to Oklahomans across the state to record first-person oral histories during the COVID-19 pandemic and beyond. These 'audio diaries' are being stored and archived by the Oklahoma Historical Society.

You can learn more about recording your own audio diaries here.
