Special Election Coverage: South Carolina and Super Tuesday Primaries
As part of our continuing coverage of the 2020 presidential election, KOSU will offer special coverage of the South Carolina primary this Saturday, February 29 and the Super Tuesday primaries, which includes Oklahoma, on Tuesday, March 3.

Saturday, February 29
5 p.m. – America, Are We Ready? South Carolina Edition
From WNYC comes the latest program in an ongoing series of pop-up, live call-in discussions that lift the voices of callers from across the country as we move toward the 2020 presidential election. The series is hosted by WNYC’s Brian Lehrer, in collaboration with the Associated Press and local station partners throughout the country. These programs are broad, good faith, inclusive discussions aimed at providing news and information to listeners. Brian and guests will talk about what’s at stake and how individual callers are deciding which candidate to support.

6 p.m. - NPR special coverage
NPR’s special coverage of the primary starts at 6 p.m. on KOSU, and is expected to run until at least 8 p.m. NPR’s Michel Martin and Sarah McCammon will serve as co-hosts, and will be joined by members of the NPR Politics team, newsmakers and other guests for live results and analysis.
Live From Here and Everything All At Once Forever will not air this Saturday evening.
Tuesday, March 3
Super Tuesday primaries will take place throughout the country in Oklahoma and 13 other states: Alabama, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Maine, Massachusetts, Minnesota, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Vermont and Virginia.
6 p.m. – America, Are We Ready? Super Tuesday Edition
Special coverage starts on KOSU at 6 p.m., with America, Are We Ready? Super Tuesday Edition. Host Brian Lehrer and his guests will talk about the high stakes in play on Super Tuesday, when roughly one-third of the U.S. votes in primaries that day. Marketplace and The Daily will be preempted on Tuesday night.
7 p.m. - NPR special coverage
At 7 p.m., Super Tuesday special coverage begins from NPR and is expected to run until at least midnight. NPR’s Ari Shapiro, Lulu Garcia-Navarro, Steve Inskeep and David Greene will rotate as hosts throughout the evening. They’ll be joined by members of the NPR Politics team, newsmakers and other guests for live results, discussion and analysis.
The Spy will be preempted on KOSU on Tuesday night until special coverage is over, but can always be heard at thespyfm.com.
