The 2020 Oklahoma State Fair has been cancelled due to public health concerns around COVID-19.

The unanimous vote happened Friday morning after months of Zoom call discussions by the fair’s board of directors.

Scott Munz, an Oklahoma State Fair spokesperson, says rising COVID-19 cases and uncertainty about the future led to the decision.

Norman Music Festival starts on Thursday and it's time to start planning your schedule for each day of the fest! Every day of this free festival has so many great artists I'm sure you want to see them all like we do. Unfortunately it's not possible to see every single act, but here are our opinions on the ten acts that are absolute must-sees at Norman Music Festival this year.

As Beach Fossils prepares for another U.S. tour, frontman Dustin Payseur sat down to talk with our music intern Kyra Bruce bout the upcoming tour and much more. Payseur said the band feels "really lucky to be doing (Norman Music Festival)" but also talked about the darker sides of touring, and even his own mortality.

Skating Polly may have moved onto national fame and acclaim, but they will never forget their Oklahoma roots. The band said they are "literally so stoked for Norman Music Festival" and that the festival "will always remain one of (their) favorite places to play." The band chats with our music intern, Kyra Bruce, about their origins in Oklahoma, dealing with "Girl Band Geeks", and playing music with their family.

The Woody Guthrie Center hosted a panel at the Buffalo Lounge on Wednesday with representatives of four Oklahoma music festivals.
