Michael Avenatti was sentenced for stealing about $300,000 from Daniels, the porn actor who catapulted him to fame as he represented her during her legal battles with then-President Donald Trump.

The lawyer was convicted of charges he cheated the porn actor out of money she was supposed to get for writing a book about an alleged tryst with former President Donald Trump.

Prosecutors in both California and New York City announced charges against the well-known onetime attorney for Stormy Daniels. Avenatti also had a cameo in the Brett Kavanaugh confirmation saga.

Avenatti was booked Wednesday, a day after police took a report of the alleged incident. He was released on $50,000 bail and has vehemently denied the allegation.
