Disappointed customers are now scrambling to make new plans for where they will live for the next three years — and to extract refunds from the company.

While the agency has lifted its travel health notice two years after putting it in place, officials say it's up to travelers to determine their own health risks before going aboard a ship.

The Crystal Symphony was supposed to dock in Miami, but ended up in the Bahamas after a U.S. judge granted an order to seize the ship as part of a breach-of-contract lawsuit.

The seven-night cruise ended in Miami on Saturday after making three stops in the Caribbean. More than 6,000 people were on the ship, which required testing and those 12 and over to be vaccinated.

At least 17 people on board the Norwegian Breakaway tested positive for COVID-19, including one probable case of the omicron variant. The cruise line said that all confirmed cases are asymptomatic.

Southeast Alaska is once again seeing cruise ships after more than a year without them due to the pandemic. It's good for small town economies, but some ships are only running at one-third capacity.

The Odyssey of the Seas had been slated to carry passengers for the first time on July 3. Instead, all 1,400 crew members are being quarantined.
