Teacher Pay Raises, Oklahoma Republicans and Feed the Children

This Week in Oklahoma Politics, KOSU's Michael Cross talks with ACLU Oklahoma Executive Director Ryan Kiesel and Republican Political Consultant Neva Hill about the fate of teacher raises and funding for education after Oklahoma voters overwhelmingly defeated a state question to provide a penny sales tax to fund those things.

The trio also discusses possible Trump appointments for Oklahoma Republicans including Governor Mary Fallin, Tulsa Congressman Jim Bridenstine, Tulsa Mayor Dewey Bartlett as well as Continental Resources CEO Harold Hamm and the possibility of former state Republican Chair Matt Pinnell replacing Reince Prebus as the head of the Republican National Committee.

And, just ten months into his three year contract with Feed the Children, former Congressman J.C. Watts is out as its C.E.O.
