Oklahoma health officials report 295 new cases of COVID-19 were confirmed on Tuesday.
Two more Oklahomans have died due to COVID-19, increasing the state's death toll to 371. The deaths reported Tuesday include:
- One in Kiowa County, a male in the 50-64 age group.
- One in Wagoner County, a male in the 65 and older age group.
The 295 new infections represent nearly a three percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 11,028.
Oklahoma has totaled 2,611 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 373 per day.
Oklahoma has seen 4,522 new coronavirus cases so far this month. That's 164% of the number of cases the state saw in May (2,758) and 156% of the number of cases it saw in April (2,899).
7,888 people — more than 71 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus. 265 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.
There are 2,769 active cases in the state. Tulsa County has the most active cases with 878, followed by Oklahoma County with 570, McCurtain County with 213, Payne County with 189 and Cleveland County with 159.
