The Oklahoma Indian Gaming Association's annual conference is still a go. But, some adjustments will be made.
OIGA officials say they felt it was possible to hold their event in July, but have instead pushed it to August 16-18th. Organizers wanted to give people more time to get their vaccinations.
The conference features a trade show, a poker tournament, guest speakers and a chance for industry officials to network in what the association dubs "the biggest little show in Indian Gaming." The event is expected to draw nearly 3,000 people to downtown Oklahoma City.
Last year's conference was canceled due to the pandemic and this year will feature safety precautions like a bigger facility to allow for social distancing.
Oklahoma is home to one of the largest gaming markets in the United States.
