Six New Deaths, 628 New COVID-19 Cases In Oklahoma

Oklahoma health officials report new cases of COVID-19 increased by 628 on Thursday, representing nearly a three percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 23,441.
Six new deaths were reported, bringing the state's death toll to 438. They are as follows:

  • Two in Tulsa County, one female in the 50 - 64 age group and one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in McCurtain County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Oklahoma County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Osage County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Rogers County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

Oklahoma has totaled 4,945 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 706 per day.
18,095 people — more than 77 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus. 638 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.

There are 4,908 active cases in the state. Oklahoma County has the most active cases with 1,396, followed by Tulsa County with 1,080, Cleveland County with 322, Canadian County with 162, McCurtain County with 132, Comanche County with 117, Rogers County with 115, Jackson County with 113 and Okmulgee County with 100.
