Six New Deaths, 596 New COVID-19 Cases In Oklahoma

Oklahoma health officials report new cases of COVID-19 increased by 596 on Friday. That's more than a three percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 19,092.
Six new deaths were reported, bringing the state's death toll to 416. They are as follows:

  • Three in Tulsa County, two males and one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Garvin County, male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in McCurtain County, male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Muskogee County, male in the 65 or older age group.

Oklahoma has totaled 4,027 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 575 per day.
14,648 people — more than 76 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus. 487 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.

There are 4,028 active cases in the state. Oklahoma County has the most active cases with 1,093, followed by Tulsa County with 996, Cleveland County with 199, McCurtain County with 136, Canadian County has 134 and Rogers County with 106.
