Oklahomans who are out of work may need to consider alternative job opportunities as the state continues to adjust to life amid the coronavirus pandemic.
With an increased demand in groceries, stocking and delivery, several companies in Oklahoma are still hiring. Those companies include Walmart, Amazon, Love’s Travel Stops, Crest Foods, Costco and Dale Rogers Training Center.
David Crow, the outreach and information officer for the Oklahoma Office of Workforce Development, says his office is trying to spread the word about who is hiring to help people with concerns about employment and income.
“They may have been a bartender, they may be a waiter, they may be a welder and they need work and income right now - and they’re going to have to look at different career options at the moment,” said Crow.
He is asking Oklahoma companies to reach out to their office if they have employment opportunities.
