Oklahoma health officials report new cases of COVID-19 increased by 699 on Friday, representing nearly a three percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 24,140.
Seven new deaths were reported, bringing the state's death toll to 445. They are as follows:
- Two in Tulsa County, one female and one male that are both in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Hughes County, male in the 36 - 49 age group.
- One in Pottawatomie County, male in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Rogers County, male in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Seminole County, male in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Texas County, female in the 36 -49 age group.
Oklahoma has totaled 5,048 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 721 per day.
18,766 people — more than 77 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus. 604 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.
There are 4,929 active cases in the state. Oklahoma County has the most active cases with 1,403, followed by Tulsa County with 1,126, Cleveland County with 323, Canadian County with 158, McCurtain County with 129, Rogers County with 111, Jackson County with 108 and Comanche County with 107.
