NOTE: We are postponing our Public Radio Music Day celebration due to the COVID-19 pandemic. We will update this post when we have a new date.
Join KOSU on Thursday, April 16 at Tower Theatre in Oklahoma City for Public Radio Music Day, a nationwide celebration of the special role public radio plays in the music world locally and nationally. Local noncommercial music stations like KOSU and The Spy are places to discover and enjoy an eclectic mix of music selections, artists, and genres that are, in many cases, available only on public radio.
We'll listen to new and unreleased songs, raise a glass (or two), and enjoy some live tunes by Oklahoma musicians. Don't miss it!
Thanks to our sponsor Kicker, the event is free and open to the public, but registration is required:
RSVP now!
Here are the details:
KOSU Music Meeting - 7 p.m.
KOSU listeners, Spy DJs and music fans join together for a new music experience — where each crowd member becomes a judge armed with score cards, and votes on new or generally unknown songs. Members also get to voice their opinions on the songs in an honest and entertaining night.
Live Music Song Swap - 8 p.m.
Following the KOSU Music Meeting, Oklahoma musicians Ali Harter, Carter Sampson and John Calvin Abney perform together on the Tower Theatre stage in a song swap.
