Governor Kevin Stitt is calling on travelers to come to Oklahoma.

A video to boost tourism comes as the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention is advising against travel during the holiday season.

In the 30-second promotional video, Stitt touts Oklahoma as a place offering hope.

In the video, Stitt extends an open visit for people to travel to Oklahoma, even as the state’s transmission rate looks to break records this month. Roughly half the states in the nation are imposing travel restrictions, while Oklahoma has none. Some states are classifying Oklahoma as "high risk."

The advertising blitz from the state Department of Tourism runs through the rest of the year.
