The University of Oklahoma has been testing football players and staff members for the coronavirus weekly since returning for voluntary workouts on July 1.
98 players and 30 staff members were tested on Wednesday, returning no positive test results.
OU has released weekly updates on testing results since players returned to campus. There were initially 14 players and two staff members who tested positive. Wednesday's report says those 14 have since recovered from the virus.
OU's protocols say that any student-athlete who tests positive will be quarantined in an on-campus facility and supported by OU medical staff. Staff members who test positive will isolate at their homes. Tracking and contact tracing will be implemented to determine others who may be at risk.
COVID-19 has caused significant disruptions to the upcoming college football season. The Ivy League announced last week they will hold no sports competitions in the fall, while the Big Ten says they won't play any out-of-conference athletic events this fall.
The Pac-12 Conference has also announced they won't play out-of-conference games in several sports, including football. That means Oklahoma State University's football game against Oregon State University on September 3 is now canceled. The Cowboys are currently searching for a new opponent.
