Fundraising is starting for a new $60 million performing arts facility at Oklahoma State University.
OSU officials already raised more than $16 million in gifts and commitments for the new facility.
Head saxophone instructor Jeff Loeffert says the new facility will improve the department as a whole.
“I think that the facilities that we currently have are creating some limitations for both students and faculty. I think the opportunity to be able to maximize our potential in the coming years, is really exciting for all of us.”
The new facility will house an 1,100-seat performance hall, improving capacity by 300 seats.
Loeffert says the improvements will not only make graduating students more competitive, but will also increase the value of degrees held by alumni.
