Oklahoma Sees Another Record Increase In Coronavirus Cases

Oklahoma had another record increase of COVID-19 cases on Sunday with 478 new infections. That's nearly a five percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 10,515.
*Note: weekend reporting of cases and deaths is typically very low compared to weekdays.

One more Oklahoman has died due to the virus, but no details were released. The state's death toll stands at 369.

Oklahoma has totaled 2,284 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 326 per day.

Oklahoma has seen 4,009 new coronavirus cases so far this month. That's 145% of the number of cases the state saw in May (2,758) and 138% of the number of cases it saw in April (2,899).

7,531 people — more than 71 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.
