Oklahoma Records First COVID-19 Pediatric Death

Oklahoma recorded its first pediatric death due to COVID-19 on Sunday, in the 5 to 17 age group. Further details were not released. The state's death toll is now at 422.
New cases of COVID-19 increased by 456. That's more than a two percent increase in total reported cases, with the state's total now at 20,235.

*Note: weekend reporting of cases and deaths is typically very low compared to weekdays.

Oklahoma has totaled 4,307 new cases of the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 615 per day.

With 5,696 new infections, July is on pace to pass June as Oklahoma's worst month of the virus in the next few days. It's already worse than April and May combined.
