Oklahoma Hits Record-Highs In Seven-Day Averages Of Coronavirus Cases, Deaths

In the past seven days, Oklahoma has reported 23,227 new cases and 116 deaths due to the coronavirus. That's a record-high average of 3,318 cases per day and a record-high average of 17 deaths per day.

The state Department of Health did not report new COVID data on Thursday, due to the Thanksgiving holiday. Friday's report is for for Thursday's data, while Saturday's report will include data from Friday and Saturday.

Oklahoma health officials reported 24 new deaths on Friday for a total of 1,704 deaths since March. No further details were released.
3,225 new cases of the coronavirus were also reported. Oklahoma has seen a total of 187,567 positive cases since March.

As of Wednesday evening, a record-high 1,653 Oklahomans were hospitalized due to the virus, with 432 people in intensive care. Due to the Thanksgiving holiday, state officials won't be releasing updated hospitalization numbers until Monday, Nov. 30.

152,969 people — more than 81 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.

There are 32,894 active cases in the state.
