OKC Public Schools Ensures Summer Meals Continue After Worker Tests Positive For COVID-19

Oklahoma City Public Schools announced Wednesday that a staff member involved in school nutrition services tested positive for the coronavirus. But, the school district is taking steps to keep meal service going.

The staff member works at John Marshall Enterprise Middle School and is not directly involved in food preparation or distribution.

However, those involved in meal distribution at the site have been advised to quarantine for 14 days and the building is being disinfected and cleaned.

The school district isn't letting that stop summer meals from being served, though.

Grab and go meals for kids in the area will be prepared off site and brought to the school to be distributed outdoors for the time being.
