Nine New Deaths, 1,006 New COVID-19 Cases In Oklahoma

Oklahoma health officials reported nine new deaths on Wednesday, bringing the state's total to 1,075. They are as follows:

  • Three in Oklahoma County, one female and two males in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Beckham County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Custer County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Murray County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Pawnee County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Pottawatomie County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Tulsa County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

There were also 1,006 new cases of COVID-19 reported. The state has seen a total of 94,352 positive cases since March.
Oklahoma has reported 7,153 new cases and 44 deaths due to the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 1,022 cases and six deaths per day.

80,211 people — more than 85 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.

A record-high 738 Oklahomans are currently hospitalized as either confirmed positive COVID-19 cases or under investigation for the virus.

There are 13,066 active cases in the state.
