Nikole Robinson Carroll's Last Day at KOSU is September 30th

Nikole Robinson Carroll

I’m sure many of you have heard the news by now.  I have accepted the Morning Edition host position at KNPR in Las Vegas.  My last day at KOSU is Tuesday, September 30th.

It’s never fun to say “goodbye” to friends, no matter where you’re headed.  While I’m looking forward to this new chapter in my life and career, it’s really difficult to think about walking away from the wonderful people I met through KOSU.  I have felt so welcomed by my colleagues and our audience.  With the help of the KOSU staff, I’ve grown by leaps and bounds as a broadcaster and a person.  I’ve also really enjoyed meeting listeners and sharing stories, laughs and music.  I didn’t know how much fun Twitter could be before I came here.

KOSU is a great station and I’ll miss it terribly.  Thanks to everyone who made it such an enjoyable and educational place to work.  I’ll be watching and listening from Nevada to see what great things happen here next.

Sincerely and appreciatively,

P.S. KOSU is looking for a new host/reporter.  Find out more about the gig and how to apply here.

P.P.S. If you missed it, here's a recording of my final sign-off from KOSU:

Nikole Robinson Carroll joined KOSU’s staff in November 2013. She began her professional broadcasting career at WEKU in Richmond, Kentucky, but her passion for radio can be traced back to her childhood bedroom, where she would perform “radio shows” on a tape recorder. She holds a Master of Public Administration from Eastern Kentucky University and has worked for a variety of social service and nonprofit agencies.
KOSU is nonprofit and independent. We rely on readers like you to support the local, national, and international coverage on this website. Your support makes this news available to everyone.
