Muscogee (Creek) Nation Principal Chief David Hill has tested positive for the coronavirus after experiencing mild symptoms late on Wednesday.

Hill, who was present as the first doses of the vaccine were administered to tribal health care workers on Wednesday, has no underlying health conditions and is said to be doing well, according to a statement on the Muscogee Creek Nation's Facebook page.

"Please continue to adhere to strict prevention guidelines and pray for the healing of all those in our Nation who have been affected," Hill said in a statement.

Hill is quarantining at home and will be working remotely until he clears all the Nation's health protocols to return to work at the Tribal Government Complex.
