Hospitalizations due to the coronavirus in Oklahoma reached yet another record-high on Monday, with 1,718 Oklahomans in the hospital. 461 people are in intensive care.
Oklahoma health officials reported 15 new deaths on Tuesday for a total of 1,758 deaths since March. They are as follows:
- Four in Oklahoma County, two females in the 50-64 age group, two males in the 65 or older age group.
- Two in Canadian County, two females in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Bryan County, one male in the 50-64 age group.
- One in Carter County, one male in the 50-64 age group.
- One in Coal County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Creek County, one male in the 50-64 age group.
- One in Garvin County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Jackson County, one male in the 65 older age group.
- One in Major County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Stephens County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
- One in Tulsa County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
1,737 new cases of the coronavirus were also reported. Oklahoma has seen a total of 199,482 positive cases since March.
In the past seven days, Oklahoma has reported 18,872 new cases and 94 deaths due to the coronavirus. That's an average of 2,696 cases per day and 13 deaths per day.
167,406 people — more than 83 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.
There are 30,318 active cases in the state.
