Governor Kevin Stitt is giving his first State of the State Address today.

The speech before a joint session of the State House and Senate kicks of the first session of the 57th Oklahoma Legislature.

Stitt says the State of the State gives him an opportunity to cast his vision and lay out his priorities for Oklahoma.

“We need a new vision in our state. I am so tired and Oklahomans are tired of us coming in last place and coming in the bottom of these categories. So, I’m casting a vision for us to be a Top 10 state. My purpose, what gets me up in the morning, is changing the future for Oklahomans.”

Stitt says Oklahoma has the right resources, people, location, and businesses to move forward and show the rest of the country how great a state it is.

The State of the State Address takes place around 12:30 p.m. and can be heard live on KOSU and kosu.org.
