Art Exhibit on OKC's Film Row Celebrates Video Games

A mashup of art and video games is coming to Oklahoma City.

Oklahoma Artcade’s third year is taking place at the Paramount Room on Film Row with this year’s theme – “The Women of Gaming”.

Organizer Stacy Dunn says every art piece is handmade in a labor of love rather than prints or copies seen at most conventions.

“There’s a lot of traditional media, such as, like, water colors and acrylic paintings, but there’s also people who have done metal work and wood burning and spray paint, so we get a lot of different diverse media that come through. As well as just diverse people in general, and I think that’s the beauty of it.”

The event is free to the public with proceeds going to the Y-W-C-A of Oklahoma City

Artcade begins November First from six to eleven and includes trivia starting at eight o-clock.

The fun continues on Saturday from eleven A-M to eleven P-M with a special screening of a video game movie screened by V-H-S and chill at seven o’clock.
