49 Positive COVID-19 Cases Confirmed In Oklahoma

Positive cases of the novel coronavirus continue to rise in adults aged 18 and up in Oklahoma.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed cases of the novel coronavirus increased by five from the day before, now totaling 49 cases statewide.

There are 14 counties now reporting positive cases of COVID-19, with Garvin County being the latest addition. Oklahoma County accounts for nearly 40% of cases in the state, with 19. Cleveland County has 11 cases and Tulsa County has five.

State health officials are requiring all hospitals, medical clinics and private testing labs to report data daily. This will help the state track healthcare facilities' capacity to combat the COVID-19 pandemic in Oklahoma.
