38 Total Deaths, 988 Positive COVID-19 Cases In Oklahoma

Four more Oklahomans have died due to COVID-19, increasing the state's death toll to 38. The deaths reported Friday include:

  • Three in Tulsa County, three females older than 65.
  • One in Cleveland County, a female older than 65.

The Oklahoma State Department of Health confirmed Friday that positive cases of the coronavirus in the state now stand at 988, an increase of 109 cases from Thursday. That's a 12 percent increase in total cases.

1,315 tests have returned negative, but those results are only from the State Public Health Laboratory and do not include negative results from private labs.

56 of Oklahoma's 77 counties are reporting positive cases of COVID-19. Oklahoma County has the most number of cases with 237. Tulsa County has 175, Cleveland County has 130, Creek County has 39, Comanche County has 33 and Wagoner County has 30.

Drive-thru testing sites across the state continue to be added, with many open currently and some opening on Monday. The sites include: Altus, Alva, Ardmore, Beaver, Clinton, Durant, Elk City, Enid, Guymon, Laverne, Lawton, McAlester, Oklahoma County, Ponca City, Pryor, Shawnee, Stillwell, Tulsa County and Woodward.
