232 New COVID-19 Infections In Oklahoma

232 new infections of the coronavirus were confirmed in Oklahoma on Tuesday, for a total of 433,025 positive cases since March 2020. In the past seven days, Oklahoma has reported 3,593 new cases for an average of 513 infections per day.
Oklahoma's Provisional Death Count, which reflects COVID deaths based on death certificates, now stands at 7,568. That's an increase of 13 from Monday.

Oklahoma recently has started using the Provisional Death Count to report death statistics and become more in line with reporting from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. Previously, Oklahoma's reported death count was about 2,500 deaths shy of what the CDC was reporting.

416,604 people — more than 96 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.

There are 11,401 active cases in the state.
