13 New Deaths, 743 New COVID-19 Cases In Oklahoma

Oklahoma health officials reported 13 new deaths due to COVID-19 on Wednesday, bringing the state's total to 1,286. They are as follows:

  • Three in Cleveland County, three males in the 65 or older age group.
  • Three in Tulsa County, three males in the 65 or older age group.
  • Two in Le Flore County, two males in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Mayes County, one female in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in McClain County, one female in the 50 - 64 age group.
  • One in McCurtain County, one male in the 50 - 64 age group.
  • One in Okfuskee County, one male in the 65 or older age group.
  • One in Ottawa County, one male in the 65 or older age group.

There were also 743 new cases of the virus reported. The state has seen a total of 119,152 positive cases since March.
It's unclear if the drop in new cases is due to the ice storm or not.

Oklahoma has reported 8,594 new cases and 76 deaths due to the coronavirus in the past seven days, an average of 1,228 cases and 10 deaths per day.

As of Tuesday evening, 885 people were hospitalized for the virus, with 305 in intensive care units.

102,792 people — more than 85 percent of the total cases — have since been classified as having recovered from the virus.

There are 15,074 active cases in the state.
