Bush Tells Guard Group He's Proud of His Service
President Bush addresses the National Guard Association of the United States in Las Vegas, Nev., telling the group he is proud to have been in the service. Since Sept. 11, 2001, an estimated 225,000 guardsmen, about half the total force, have been called up for active duty in Iraq and Afghanistan. NPR's Don Gonyea reports.
