Kerry Ad Controversy Puts Spotlight on 527s

The federal campaign finance reform law was meant to stop the flow of "soft" money into elections. But a loophole in that law allows huge donations for ads by organizations known as 527s -- including the anti-Kerry Swift Boat Veterans for Truth. Hear NPR's Tavis Smiley, Arlene Holt Baker of a 527 group called Voices for Working Families, and Larry Noble, formerly of the Federal Election Commission.
