After more than seven years as co-host of Here and Now, Jeremy Hobson is leaving the weekday mid-day program. His last day will be Friday, October 16.
The show is currently looking for a new executive producer and will begin a seach for a third host once that decision has been made.
In a Medium post, Hobson said while he's sad to leave the show, he's ready for a little break and a new challenge.
"Since COVID-19, I, like many in our business, have been broadcasting from home. Or, you might say, living at work," Hobson said. "It’s given me a different perspective and after 21 years in the daily news business, I’m ready to take a little break from the Here and Now, if you will, and prepare for my next challenge."
Here and Now will continue to be co-hosted by Robin Young and Tonya Mosley, and senior editor Peter O’Dowd will step in to fill some hosting duties for the next few months.
