Emeline Michel, the 'Queen of Haitian Song'

They call her the "queen of Haitian song" -- the voice of Emeline Michel conjurs visions of beaches with lapping surf, and the brown faces of the people of her homeland.

Her music intertwines the roots of Haitian music with political and social themes aimed at delivering a message to her audience. She talks about both her music, her new CD Rasin Kreyol, and her message with reporter Allison Keyes.
