Every week, the Oklahoma Music Minute gives a run down of where you can see live music. There is so much great music being played in the state and we encourage you to get out and see some of these musicians live! Here are our picks for the week of August 12-16.

Monday, August 12

Tonight, Saints & Sinners and The Penny Mob come to Rabbit Hole in Tulsa and Giakob Lee plays JJ's Alley in Oklahoma City. Meanwhile, Rory Block visits Studio 308 in Tulsa. Here's Rory Block with "Walking Blues."

Tuesday, August 13

Grand Commander and Beta BetaMax play The Whittier Bar in Tulsa and Faster Pussycat and Bang Tango visit The Shrine in Tulsa. Meanwhile, Lost Dog Street Band performs at Tower Theatre in Oklahoma City. Check out Lost Dog Street Band's "Bring Back Someday."


Wednesday, August 14

Tonight, Don't Tell Dena and Grand Commander come to Red Brick Bar in Norman and Jacob Dement plays 5 O'Clock Somewhere Bar in Tulsa. Meanwhile, This Will Destroy You take the Tower Theatre stage in Oklahoma City. Here's This Will Destroy You with "Melted Jubilee."


Thursday, August 15

Tonight, Arkansauce performs at The Deli in Norman and Robert Hoefling and Family come to Dead Armadillo Brewery in Tulsa. Meanwhile, Pure Bathing Culture play VZDs in Oklahoma City. Here's Pure Bathing Culture with "Devotion."

Friday, August 16

Tonight, American Aquarium play Tower Theatre in Oklahoma City and Flatland Cavalry come to Cain's Ballroom in Tulsa. Meanwhile, Vampire Weekend play a sold out show at The Criterion in Oklahoma City. Here's Vampire Weekend with "Harmony Hall."


The Oklahoma Music Minute airs weekdays on KOSU at 6:19 a.m., 8:19 a.m., 11:31 a.m., 1:20 p.m., 3:18 p.m., and 5:18 p.m.
