Joining the ranks of a select group of conductors, Marin Alsop has launched a project with the London Philharmonic to record the four symphonies of Brahms. Symphonies 2 and 3 come out in October and the fourth will be released with Brahms' Haydn Variations in 2006. The first symphony, recently released on the Naxos label, has received widespread acclaim.
