KOSU is looking for an aspiring journalist to join the station as an Inasmuch intern.

The intern will work with our news team on daily news and long-term projects, learning to write and record news reports for radio and produce digitally focused reports. The Inasmuch Foundation Community Fellowship is available to college students or recent graduates and aims to give students of diverse backgrounds a high-quality, hands-on experience.

The 10-week program pays $15 an hour and will be based at KOSU’s newsroom in Oklahoma City during summer 2025.

KOSU wants interns prepared to work in a public radio newsroom the day they complete their fellowship program. We will train them in what interests them, especially in helping file spot stories for newscasts and feature stories to be aired during news magazine broadcasts.

The Inasmuch intern must be an Oklahoma resident or attend an Oklahoma college. They will network with other interns around Oklahoma City. Former fellowship interns for KOSU worked on a wide range of stories on topics from fire department staffing to the state of Oklahoma women in chess.

To apply, send a resume, cover letter and up to three work samples to [email protected].

The deadline to apply is Feb. 14.

The KOSU news team curates news of interest to Oklahomans from various sources around the world. Our hope is inform, educate, and entertain.
