KOSU Staff Create Messages To Listeners

The entire staff at KOSU has been scattered across Stillwater and the Oklahoma City metro since the stay-at-home orders were issued in mid-March. But we continue to work very hard to bring you all the news, information, and music that you come to depend on from your favorite public radio station.

KOSU's Executive Director, Rachel Hubbard, has a message for our listeners - we are doing our best to keep this station on the air which means minimal contact between staff. Oh, and she has provided much needed supplies!

Our production team is hard at work - creating daily newscasts with lots of disinfectant and gloves, recording interviews from our isolated recording booths, and producing stories from their at-home studios.

KOSU Morning Edition host, Michael Cross has a message for listeners - the news isn't going anywhere and we are here for you.

All Things Considered host and KOSU Operations Manager, Ryan LaCroix advises listeners to take a news break whenever you need it, and we will be here when you come back.

In addition to the on-air staff, the administrative folks at KOSU want our listeners to know that we are being just as creative when it comes to getting our work done - even during a pandemic.

KOSU Development Director, Jenny Mae Harms, continues to send out thank you gifts to those members who donated during the Spring 2020 Membership Drive.

And KOSU's Community Outreach Manager, Jenny Stanford, shows us how to fold a bandana into a makeshift face mask. (NOTE - this is not as effective as an N95 mask for protection of COVID-19.)

KOSU's Digital Project Manager, Terry Farris, explains how he recreated his KOSU office at his home, so that he can continue to work on KOSU's digital products, such as our podcast platform.
